# Where Are the Miles, Lebowski?

They're spread thickly, like Marmite, across ordinary non-chain hotels.

That's where the multiplier miracles begin — x30, x40, x50 and up.

The best one for my dates, balancing price against sheer juiciness, was x53.

One caveat, to be taken with a pinch of salt: every experiment here is conducted live, with real money and no lab coats.

I genuinely needed a hotel in Mexico City for these dates.

Two finalists made it to the home straight — Hyatt House Mexico City/Santa Fe and Capital O Andrade.

If you've read the [previous post](https://loyalty.sarl/en/posts/2025-10-30-right-the-numbers/), you already know who won. But for the record, here's how it all unfolded.

Price for two nights:

Capital O Andrade    — $257.95 ×53  → **+13,671 miles**

Hyatt House Mexico — $192.16 ×10  →  **+1,921 miles**

Were there doubts? Naturally.

My favourite, by a country mile, was Capital O Andrade.

Firstly, I wanted to see how this mysterious Rove behaves in real life.

Secondly, earning that many miles with your backside wedged into an economy seat is nobody's idea of a picnic.

I have no access to the American bubble of miles credit cards, so — Rove, sweet Rove!

My soul, my body and my inner Sir Accor Hyatt-Hilton-Smythe reached a compromise: the decision went to Capital O Andrade.

However, Sir Accor, out of sheer self-respect, proposed that we sleep on it until morning.

Overnight, Capital O Andrade sold every last room. Finita la comedia, as a Frenchman would say. But this is Mexico, so I'll say ¡Mierda! Or, as we'd put it in Britain: "Well. That's a bit of a shame."

P.S. I checked every rate on the major OTAs: no difference in price, except for Fora — but that's a story for another post.
