# Art, Erotica or Just Teenagers?

Oh, to be in Mexico, now that the museums are there!

The city of [Aguascalientes](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aguascalientes_City) is the birthplace of the artist [José Guadalupe Posada](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jos%C3%A9_Guadalupe_Posada).

The man behind ["La Calavera Catrina"](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/La_Calavera_Catrina) — a cornerstone of the Mexican cultural tradition of the [Day of the Dead](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Day_of_the_Dead).

Anyway… today I popped into his [museum](https://maps.app.goo.gl/UNN1S6hD13zUdn9j6?g_st=atm).

And suddenly found myself witnessing a live performance: two teenagers, evidently of different sexes, decided to make their own contribution to contemporary art, right in the middle of the exhibition.

After that I realised I hadn't been to a museum in ages. I've fallen behind on the cultural agenda and can no longer tell an [installation](https://www.anekdot.ru/id/1423126) from simply enterprising youth. It was less Tate Modern, more Carry On Curating.

Conclusion: visit museums more often. It broadens the mind.
