The price is the same as at every other OTA: give or take a couple of dollars, nothing criminal.

It all went quickly and smoothly β€” literally two screens to payment. No interrogation, no insurance, no “add a suitcase for $999?” and the rest of that clutter. Ryanair could take notes, though it won’t.

Rove’s big difference: on the final step they offer to buy extra miles.

The ticket earns 1 mile per dollar.

For example: a $599.86 ticket earns 599 Rove Miles, plus the airline’s standard miles.

But you can also multiply the miles by x3 x5 x10.

Let’s go for x10. That gives 5,990 Rove Miles for $686.12, i.e. $86.26 on top.

Total: 5,990 - 599 = 5,391 miles for $86.26. That works out at $16 per thousand miles.

You can also use the +20% bonus when converting to Finnair Avios (valid until the end of December), which makes it 6,469 miles β€” or $13 per thousand.

The alternative is to pay for the ticket with your Rove Miles. I’ll crunch those numbers in the next episode: “Rove: There’s One Born Every Minute” 🎬
