Spent ages choosing milk. Settled on the one that says “to EU standards”.
Bought Pastel de Nata — six of them, wholesale, for £1.05.
Back home, Lidl sells them at £0.75 each, or £4.50 for six.
I immediately caught the scent of a fat margin.
When it comes to that sort of thing, I’ve got a nose like an African elephant — only instead of the savannah, I graze in the bakery aisle.
I haven’t yet worked out the import-export scheme through nominee directors in Dubai. Del Boy would be proud; Rodney would have questions.
Anyway, the details are in hand.
