For the third time in my life, a technological shift has left me gobsmacked.

1996 — ICQ over a U.S. Robotics 33.6, praying nobody picked up the landline mid-download.

2001 — an Ericsson T39 on GPRS at 56–114 kbit/s, doing 110 km/h down the motorway.

2026 — free ChatGPT.

I ask it to make a Chrome extension. One paragraph of instructions, three sentences long.

5 minutes to formulate the task. 2 minutes to get the final archive.

Without any…

"let me just set up the environment"
"I need to read the documentation"
"why won't it build"

I'm afraid to launch OpenClaw. Not sure the data centre of my impressions could cope 🗜
