# Hyatt House Yinchuan 😑

As [advertised earlier](https://loyalty.sarl/en/posts/2026-03-12-hyatt-long-stay-rates/): the cheapest Hyatt House in the world.

Not new, but perfectly fresh.

The video shows a studio for $40 including taxes. No upgrade. But since I still have 3 more stays to go, I didn't make a scene.

City centre. Shopping mall, noodle joints, the works.

Now for the main point. Why here, of all places.

Firstly, in April you can find places in China for $30 as well. But Hyatt House is running a promotion: 5k points for a minimum of five nights.

As readers of this channel will have gathered, the author is a practical man. Given the choice between price and comfort, he chooses beer.

Secondly, while reading other travellers' reviews, I noticed a pattern.

"Pro"-level tourists who travel a lot, and for long stretches, start finding fault with everything.

Such is the sad outcome of professional deformation.

So let me set out my own circumstances first.

Two months living in a village by the sea. Silence, fishermen, nothing happening. And then — bang — a town!

Cars hooting. People rushing about. A cool spring sun at +17 at its peak.

I look at all this and think: these people know how to live.

That's exactly how a village boy feels on his first trip to the big city. Dick Whittington, minus the cat.

Nobody warned him he'll be fed up with it within a month.

I'm not fed up with it yet — unlike the Vietnamese village.
