Rove’s slogan on its Y Combinator pitch page sounds defiantly implausible: "Travel the world for free."
No sooner said than done.
Remember the IONOS wheeze?
Today 7,846 miles landed in my account.
But that’s not the juicy bit.
When I signed up, I already had several ancient IONOS accounts.
Perhaps that’s why, a week later, they cancelled the order placed through the Rove affiliate link and refunded the money.
Then a European kaleidoscope whirled into motion, and I had other things on my mind.
But the pending entry at Rove stayed put.
And today the miles finally dripped in.
So I got the money back and the miles credited.
The perfect monkey business π
Preferably at someone else’s company, mind.
Apropos of nothing, IONOS has vanished from Rove’s list of affiliates.
You’re welcome. Don’t mention it π
