# The Standard, Singapore

Before a well-earned holiday at the Phuket health resort for programmers and OnlyFans entrepreneurs, I stopped off in Singapore to sort things out with Hyatt.

To close out 150 nights and tick off yet another Hyatt Brand Explorer icon.

"Where does a retired points mathematician find $250 for a hotel?" asks the pedantic points-smoker.

I'll answer without beating about the bush: cash yesterday, cash tomorrow, but never cash today.

Today there are Hyatt 1–4 certificates.

That is my answer to your perfectly fair question of why I chose this passive smoker's hotel.

But I have no answer as to why the other guests chose [this fabric with such details](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ITXVIK8KZuI).

Perhaps they vape even stronger certificates and get their hits at special discounts.

I haven't smoked up any other answer yet.

Breakfast with the ~~locust starlings~~ Javan mynas, and the room, are on video.

Comments will be moderated by an independent committee of the hotel's regulars, who will keep things suitably fabulous.
